Grand Islamabad Hotel Havana Terraces is seeking a skilled Ice Cream Chef with at least 7 years of experience to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record working in a renowned ice cream brand and be proficient in operating Italian ice cream machines. This role involves developing innovative recipes, handling dairy with care, and producing high-quality batches that meet the hotel's premium standards. The Ice Cream Chef will also manage a small team of two persons, overseeing their work to ensure consistency and quality in every product.
The Ice Cream Chef leads the creative presentation of ice cream products, ensures the right texture and flavor balance, and sources fresh, high-quality ingredients. Attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional ice cream experiences are essential. This position requires a hands-on approach to batch production and texture control, as well as the capability to maintain a hygienic and efficient workplace in line with food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine ice cream recipes that align with the hotel's culinary standards and customer preferences.
- Operate and maintain Italian ice cream machines to ensure optimal machine performance and product consistency.
- Manage dairy handling processes to preserve freshness and quality throughout ice cream production.
- Oversee the sourcing of high-quality ingredients, ensuring seasonality and availability while maintaining cost controls.
- Control texture and flavor profiles of ice cream batches to achieve the desired creamy and smooth consistency.
- Supervise a team of two staff members, providing training, scheduling, and guidance to maintain high-quality output.
- Execute batch production efficiently to meet daily demand without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to integrate ice cream offerings into menus and special events.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all production and handling activities.
- Innovate creative presentations for ice cream products to enhance guest satisfaction and visual appeal.
