Job Description
- This position involves understanding and taking steps to mitigate the risks associated with collecting, storing, and transmitting data in a business setting.
- You will be expected to set up security measures that help prevent security breaches, as well as analyzing any breeches that do occur.
- This is a full-time position at our Gulberg III, Lahore, Office.
- You will be serving our clients’ in United States of America.
Information Security Specialist Job Responsibilities
1. Analyze existing security systems and make recommendations for changes or improvements
2. Prepare reports and action plans in the event that a security breech does occur
3. Organize and conduct tests and “ethical hacks” of the existing security architecture
4. Monitor the network and provide early warning of abnormalities or problems
5. Upgrade systems regularly to remain competitive in the field of security
6. Communicate the system status and keep users informed of downtime or changes to the system
7. Keep technical knowledge current through continuing education
8. Provide system updates and write code fixes
9. Participate in client meetings and provide training to colleagues
Skills and Educational Requirements
1. 4 years bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, network security, network administration or a related field
2. At least five years of experience in system support
3. Knowledge of current security risks and protocols
4. Willingness to work on-call in the event of a security breech or other emergency
5. Good analytic and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work under close supervision, as well as the ability to take independent initiative when needed
7. Excellent English communication skills
8. Sound knowledge of Server OS, Network Devices & VM
9. Sound knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS
10. Hands-on expertise on different Firewalls (Preferably Fortinet, Cisco ASA)
11. Advanced PC/Laptop/Server and other hardware knowledge
12. Ability to troubleshoot internal IT infrastructure issues
13. Good knowledge Backups, Antivirus & Office 365 management.
14. Good knowledge of Cloud platforms like AWS, MS Azure, o365
15. Ability to migrate, replicate and deploy servers on cloud (Azure)
16. Experience in managing and leading a team
17. Must be energetic, motivated, and creative mind for project implementation and support
18. Ability to quickly establish good working relationships with end-users
19. Microsoft, Cisco & AWS certification will be preferable.
