GSS Intertrade is looking for professionally confident, self-motivated, experienced and committed team player to fill the Store Keeper position in Jhelum.The Store Keeper will work under the direct hierarchical supervision and reports to the Accounts Officer, for all aspects related to Inventory, Communications and purchasing.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Maintain filing & archiving of stocks & deliveries documentation
-Review & strengthen the Monthly Stock inventory report, under the Accounts Officer supervision, with accounts teams.
-Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
-Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, pricing, and labeling supplies
-Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to accounts for reimbursements and record keeping
-Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
-Create and implement procurement strategies and procedures that are innovative and cost-effective
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health and environmental rules and regulations in all stages of the procurement process
-Ensure that GSS procurement guidelines are applied at all times for all procurements
Stocks & deliveries
- Contribute to identify warehouses/storage space based on needs in the area
-Liaise efficiently with suppliers for timely deliveries in particular, or efficient solving of any unexpected issue
-Support efficient planning for deliveries to the project teams, and Contribute to maintain a regular information toward Accounts Officer about their stock levels & expected lead-times
-Contribute to maintain and disseminate a monthly stock report for every project.
-Ensure the regular documentation flow from field offices to the Head office
-Cross-check the overall consistency of all logistics reports
-Contribute to coordinate stock transfers or deliveries accordingly by developing coordination tools such as timetables, operational meetings, etc.
-Contribute to maintain an up-to-date monthly asset follow-up per project code, with a clear location & user for each asset; investigate and document any loss or damage
-Support monthly and random asset inventories to check the monthly asset follow-up reliability, and take any corrective action needed
- Perform other tasks as requested by GSS Management
Skills and Qualifications
-Bachelor degree in purchasing Supply Management or higher national diploma in store, logistics management or equivalent.
-At least two years relevant experience in procurement and logistics management in hospitality industry.
- Computer literate and with basic IT Knowledge.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective work relations at all levels
- Excellent communication skills.
-Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
-Ability to work under pressure, deal constructively with stress and working long hours.
-Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work with limited supervision, pro-active and a good team-player.
