In this role, you are part of our Marketing Department, an independent division within GSS Management, which works solely with Marketing. As a Digital Marketing Officer you will be primarily responsible for the organization's external communication, marketing, and knowledge management needs, ensuring alignment and consistency. Develops strong and innovative digital marketing strategies, using SEO, PPC, and other techniques to drive traffic to company pages and generate interest in company products and services. You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

The Digital Marketing Officer will be involved in the development of multiple visual tools and content creation for infographics, websites, and social media. The Candidate will be engaged in the full process from conceptualization of visual identity to development of final communication products, considering at all stages of the process how to best communicate key GSS messages to intended target groups in accordance with the brands and communication strategies while making the best use of different media. We’re looking for a proactive, organized, thorough candidate who is brilliant at web development. You’ll have the chance to bring your enthusiasm and experience to both established programs and innovative new products. Creates engaging written, graphic, and video content while staying up-to-date on latest marketing technologies and social media.

As a Digital marketing Officer you will be the main creative force behind the online elements, from concept through design, development, editing, and release of digital content – including videos, social media posts, website modifications / landing pages, activation content and (info) graphics.Strong communication, positive energy and independent thinking are required.

Digital Marketing Officer Job Duties

-Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments

-Planning digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO, email, social media and display advertising

-Write and optimize content for the website and social networking accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc

-Developing Infographics and other visuals ready for upload on social media

-Creation of marketing publications, whether video or design / for the products and outputs of the organization

-Adapting research results and team decisions into long and short-form content packages as appropriate to the target audience and channel: digital, social, print, and new/emerging

-Being the driving force in designing, executing and evaluating the overarching content strategy across web platforms and other digital media

-Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns

-Producing, editing video segments for social media to short-form segments for the newsletter, website, and event use

-Develop and implement SEO and PPC strategies

-Create and manage link building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presences

-Work on printed material to supplement online products

-Innovate and present new marketing platforms and strategies

-Develop engaging online content including videos, graphics, and blogs; monitor and analyse content success

-Forecast marketing campaign growth and ROI for marketing campaigns

-Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information

-Collect, review, assess, edit existing material and generate required content for the GSS website

-Manage and maintain the organization’s website(s)

-Create online banner adverts and oversee pay per click (PPC) ad management

-Manage and maintain the communications channels for the services: disseminating announcements, engaging with the user communities; posting and updating documentation, user guides, image galleries; and other channels as appropriate

-Develop written and audio-visual material for promotional and documentation activities

-Actively conceptualize short content updates, interactive features on Facebook and other social media such as Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest

-Train and encourage staff on the appropriate use of online social media. Actively monitor communications initiated by staff (e.g. social media posts, personal websites, newsletters, etc.)

-Distribute the Annual Report, newsletters, etc, among staff and external contacts in the office

-Manage communication budget lines included in the financial budget

-Measure performance of all digital marketing campaigns against KPIs

-Conceptualize and design of GSS Procurement Services outreach and marketing materials such as infographics, brochures, online content to educate and increase use of GSS  Procurement Services globally

-Assist in compilation and management of a database of outreach prospective clients

-Track client and potential client needs and feedback including conducting annual partner survey to help inform the procurement services provided by GSS

-Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

-Monitor performance related to annual outreach and marketing plans

-Undertake other tasks and duties as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

-Bachelor's Degree in Advertising or Marketing, Mass Communication, Design (e.g., graphic, visual communications, digital content or equivalent)

-University degree or completed certificate programs in Digital Marketing & Communications, Graphic/Multi-Media Design, or related field would be useful, but is not a requirement.

Experience:

-1 year of professional experience in media, communications, marketing

-Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns

-Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns

-Suitable experience using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, Craft, InVision, etc. as well as working proficiency in Microsoft Office

-Working knowledge of creating digital content, preferably for multiple viewports

-Experience working in communications, marketing, public relationship is preferred

Skills:

-Fluency and experience with social media tools for marketing and promotions

-Excellent and inspiring communicator

-Self-starter while being a team player

-Highly organized with a creative flair and a good attention to detail

-Excellent writing skills with the ability to target different audiences and to tailor output accordingly

-Knowledge in the fundamentals of electronic marketing

-Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications

-Flair for writing content/marketing materials

-Creative ideas with a problem-solving mindset
