The role of the Quality Assurance Engineer is a pivotal position in the team and will allow the incumbent to establish best testing practices. The successful individual will work closely with an existing team of developers ensuring that quality software is released whilst implementing automation testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Review of software requirements
- Preparation of test cases
- Execution of tests
- Reporting of defects
- Preparation of test reports
- Preparation/review of test plans
- Identify, record and document thoroughly and track defects
- Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop status reports based on test completion/findings and communicate them to the team leads
- Provide daily and weekly status reports to Manager
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ QA testing experience
- Minimum 1 year’ automated testing
- 3 or 4-year degree, ideally in software or engineering
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication skills across multiple teams
- Able to communicate with developers on a technical level
- Experience managing testing throughout the SDLC
- Superb attention to detail
- Quick learner that can adapt to multiple project environments
- Able to make sure all the processes that need to run, run
- Experience in defect tracking
