• To follow safe work procedure for maintenance (PTW);
• To follow and involve in station’s safety and quality activities;
• To supervise and implement predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all I&C related equipment & instruments install at power plant.
•To supervise and implement the overhaul and annual inspection activities;
• Identify or address malfunctions of plant operational equipment, such as excitation system, control system, protection system, vibration system, Generator & turbine monitoring instruments, SCADA system etc.
• To carry out modifications and improvement on plants and auxiliaries
• Installs, maintain, repairs, calibrates and troubleshoots power plant instrumentation, electrical devices, and controls.
• Performs (with assistance as needed) the maintenance of equipment by cleaning, adjusting, tightening,
• Diagnoses & troubleshoot cause of electrical and operational malfunction or failure of equipment.
• Supervise annual testing and calibrations as part of the I&C team.
• To advise on manpower and resources for I&C maintenance work.
• To regularly check adequacy of all C&I spare for the plant and auxiliaries.
• To ensure proper record of I&C assets and workshop equipment.
• Timely response to any maintenance outage and timely completion of maintenance work.
• To implement On Job Training (OJT) on subordinates.
• To keep and monitor tools register for I&C workshop;
• To carry out any other tasks as directed from time to time by immediate superior
• Diagnose, Troubleshoot, repair and rectify the fault of instruments and control system malfunctions. Including but not limited to transmitters, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), plant or distributive control systems, instrument loops etc
