The candidate will be responsible to perform strategic inventory management activities across manifold categories to occupy and search better techniques for inventory management, sourcing goods, equipment, services and managing vendors. His duties will be as follows:
- Control and issuance of inventory
- Recording all store inflows
- Recording all store outflows
- Identify gaps & opportunities, to continuously improve the inventory management system.
- To follow workflow process in line with ERP software system.
- Forecasting demand & Maintaining minimum operating inventory
- The ideal candidate should be able to manage the store, maintain discipline and order within the store.
- To manage (guidelines/train/monitor) their subordinates about new strategies.
- Should also be able to observe the inflows and outflows finished goods/inventory, also manage and is responsible for the physical handling of goods.
- Track and report key functional measurement to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Should be able to understand the gaps and opportunities and be able to communicate/report them to the Manager.
- Manage inventory and maintain levels required on a daily basis to meet production demands.
- Design and execute strategies and plans to meet short-term and long-term supply chain management goals and inventory control requirements.
- The inventory officer is responsible for preparing the receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
- He is responsible for preparing the reports on adjustment done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc. And coordinates the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions.
- He make sure to get rid of the surplus of obsolete stock.
- To maintain record of receipts as well issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse as to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- To be involved reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system.
- To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular bases by working closely with designated staff member.
- To supervise the offloaded process, the subsequent arrangements of merchandise, material, etc., and consignment so that it can be accessed and identified easily.
- To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures.
- To maintain the inventory cycle count as well as the physical inventory and help in designing the inventory budget.
- To manage and record inventory life for both consumable and non-consumable items.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly and annual audits to reconcile stock
- Manage inventory as per company standard that includes proper handling of parts, proper placing, proper tagging, reduce dead inventory, reduce inventory block days.
- To take along and develop the Supply Chain team and get maximum output from them.
- To maintain excellent relationship with suppliers.
- Bachelors or equivalent, should be experienced and preferably worked in a similar capacity before, should also have experience of book keeping and accounting skills for the store, should have good management skills and must be able to have people skills in order to coordinate with procurement and operations.
Any other duties assigned by the management time to time.
