The candidate is responsible for preparing, revising, and maintaining technical drawings and documentation that fulfill project specifications and client requirements. This position demands strong communication skills to ensure effective coordination with various departments and stakeholders throughout project execution. The draftsman must be skilled in electrical panel design interpretation, switchgear configuration, and circuit diagram development, contributing significantly to the accuracy and efficiency of project deliverables. Although this role does not involve team management, it provides critical support in technical drafting and documentation tasks within a collaborative engineering environment, focusing on quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed technical drawings and documentation related to electrical and electromechanical systems using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical software.
- Prepare precise 2D and 3D layouts, including wiring and circuit diagrams, that comply with established electromechanical drawing standards and IEC regulations.
- Create and update electrical schematics for LV and MV switchgear and power distribution systems to support engineering design and project execution.
- Generate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and perform cost estimations specifically for LV/MV switchgear projects to assist in budgeting and procurement processes.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, project managers, and site personnel to ensure drawings and documents meet technical requirements and project timelines.
- Revise and amend technical drawings as needed in response to site feedback, client requests, or changes in project scope, maintaining revision control and proper documentation practices.
- Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, complete, and stored according to company standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Apply knowledge of electrical panels, switchgear, and power distribution configurations to improve drawing accuracy and technical detail.
- Participate in technical reviews and document control processes to support quality assurance and project delivery excellence.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify technical details and support the smooth execution of engineering projects.
