Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate income tax returns using the IRIS e-file system, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Manage sales tax registrations, file sales tax returns promptly, and ensure all sales tax compliance requirements are met.
- Oversee withholding tax matters by preparing statements and managing associated documentation to comply with regulatory standards.
- Maintain and organize comprehensive tax records and documentation for easy accessibility and audit readiness.
- Apply thorough knowledge of the Income Tax Ordinance and Sales Tax Act to perform tax duties effectively and identify areas for tax optimization.
- Ensure data entry accuracy in all tax-related records and reports, regularly verifying information to minimize errors.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel proficiently to analyze tax data, generate reports, and manage large sets of tax information.
- Work independently to meet deadlines for all filings and tax compliance activities, demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Assist in tax planning activities by providing relevant data and supporting documentation to senior management.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills related to tax compliance, laws, and filing systems to enhance job performance and compliance adherence.
