Manager – Financial Accounting & Operations is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, overseeing the recording and structuring of transactions in compliance with IFRS and local laws, and preparing statutory financial statements. The role also involves managing daily finance operations, including vendor relationships, and serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits. The incumbent will support management through timely financial reporting and contribute to internal control design and compliance.
1. Prepare the Company’s standalone financial statements in compliance with IFRS and applicable local regulations.
2. Prepare reporting packs for the Chairman and Executive Management.
3. Structure financial transactions, ensuring alignment with IFRS and local laws
4. Guide business units for accurate transaction recording
5. Ensure monthly closing of the trial balance and identify/report major variances (ROVs)
6. Review the general ledger for accuracy and completeness
7. Provide necessary financial data for Monthly Management Reports (MMR)
8. Support ad hoc financial data and report requests
9. Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure the timely completion of audits and clean audit reports.
10. Liaise with external stakeholders for financial data provision.
11. Manage daily finance operations, including reconciliations (customers/suppliers)
12. Oversee vendor management processes and controls
13. Contribute to the design and implementation of financial controls within the accounting system
