- Liaison with QC department to ensure the finished goods received are already quality assured. In case of non compliance of quality, get finished goods quality checked before receiving in warehouse.
- Return the damaged / re-workable pieces to the issuing department and make record. Only give receiving of the quality passing items.
- At the time of receiving goods also cross check the “quantity to be received” from the ‘production order’ and raise a query for missing items.
- Receive goods and ensure their GRN Posting in SAP.
- Ensure to stack goods in warehouse in such a manner that they do not get damaged.
- Confirm costing for every product from Head Supply Chain and post in SAP accordingly.
- Through warehouse staff ensure assigning accurate bar codes to products received from production.
- Make sure that every packed carton has a packing list with one of packing list’s copies saved as warehouse record. The Packing list must be signed by Warehouse In-Charge.
- Strictly monitor loading of finished goods in containers. Make sure that only relevant products are loaded in the specific container and eliminate any chance of wrong delivery.
- Obtain the outward gate pass from gate and release the delivery.
- Send delivery release information to all concerned departments.
- Maintain complete records of each receiving, issuance and balance.
- Ensure cleanliness of Warehouse round the clock ‘5 S’ housekeeping methodology.
- Ensure Compliance to Safety regulations / requirements as per defined standards.
- “No Smoking” rule should be strictly observed in the Warehouse
- Make sure that no product moves out of the Warehouse without Quality assurance sticker and without his signatures.
- Responsible to train Warehouse staff on handling emergency situations.
- Revise KPIs of warehouse Staff at the start of every quarter by keeping in loop HRBPs of respective BS unit.
- Do timely performance evaluation of subordinates on quarterly basis in coordination with HRBPs of respective BS Unit
- Ensure Proper Training & Development of the warehouse Staff wherever & whenever needed through performance appraisal. and TNA
- Developing warehouse staff through formal and informal coaching, counseling & mentoring sessions.
- Succession Planning: Develop a successor of himself as well as successors of his immediate subordinates.
- Do final (technical) selection interview of staff needed to be hired in warehouse.
