The Head of Internal Audit at JazzCash plays a critical leadership role within Pakistan’s leading Fintech ecosystem. This position is responsible for shaping and executing the internal audit strategy for JazzCash FINTECH Pvt. Ltd. and JazzCash Pvt. Limited. The role ensures strong governance, risk management, and control frameworks that comply with Group Internal Audit standards and the regulatory requirements of the State Bank of Pakistan. Beyond providing assurance, the Head of Internal Audit acts as a strategic partner by influencing decision-making, promoting accountability, and supporting sustainable growth in the digital financial services sector. Key Responsibilities
Lead the internal audit strategy in alignment with the Group Internal Audit’s vision and JazzCash’s business objectives. Drive innovation by incorporating data analytics, automation, and continuous auditing techniques. Develop and implement a dynamic, risk-based audit plan that covers digital products, technology platforms, operations, finance, compliance, and cybersecurity, ensuring timely and effective execution.
Independently evaluate and enhance internal controls, risk management systems, and governance frameworks. Provide proactive assurance on new digital initiatives, third-party integrations, and system transformations. Ensure compliance with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), Internal Audit Charter, and Group policies, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and quality.
Serve as a trusted advisor to JazzCash leadership by offering expert insights on governance, compliance, and emerging risks. Maintain transparent relationships with the Audit Committee, Board, Regulators, and Senior Management. Act as Secretary to the JCF and JCPL Audit Committees, managing meetings, documentation, and governance compliance.
Present clear and concise audit reports to the Board, Committees, and Executive Leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making through meaningful analysis of systemic issues and risk trends. Report functionally to the Chairperson of the Audit Committee to ensure independence and regulatory compliance, to the Chief Internal Auditor of Mobilink Bank for alignment with banking regulations and group audit strategy, and administratively to the President of JCF.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 10–12 years of progressive experience in internal audit or risk management within financial services or Fintech, with a proven track record of managing complex audits and leading teams. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire collaboration, drive high performance, and foster accountability across cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience engaging with Boards, Audit Committees, and senior executives, with the ability to influence decisions and promote a strong control culture. In-depth knowledge of banking regulations, particularly those of the State Bank of Pakistan, with experience in Fintech or digital payments highly preferred.
Proficiency in digital platforms, cybersecurity, and technology-enabled auditing tools, including data analytics and automation. Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIA is mandatory; certifications like CISA or other IT audit credentials are preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and persuasively. High integrity, professional independence, a proactive mindset, strong business acumen, and resilience are essential.
