Head of Internal Audit JazzCash

The Head of Internal Audit at JazzCash plays a critical leadership role within Pakistan’s leading Fintech ecosystem. This position is responsible for shaping and executing the internal audit strategy for JazzCash FINTECH Pvt. Ltd. and JazzCash Pvt. Limited. The role ensures that governance, risk management, and control frameworks remain strong, flexible, and fully compliant with Group Internal Audit standards as well as regulatory requirements set by the State Bank of Pakistan. Beyond traditional assurance functions, the Head of Internal Audit serves as a strategic partner, influencing key business decisions, driving accountability, and supporting sustainable growth in a fast-paced digital financial environment. This role requires a visionary leader who can utilize data-driven insights, deliver impactful audit outcomes, and strengthen organizational resilience across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and implementation of an internal audit strategy aligned with Group Internal Audit’s vision and JazzCash’s strategic objectives, emphasizing innovation through data analytics, automation, and continuous auditing techniques.
- Design and execute a comprehensive, risk-based audit plan covering all critical areas such as digital products, technology platforms, operations, finance, compliance, and cybersecurity.
- Conduct independent assessments to enhance internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks, providing proactive assurance on new digital initiatives and third-party integrations.
- Ensure strict adherence to the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), Internal Audit Charter, and Group policies, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
- Act as a trusted advisor to JazzCash leadership by offering expert guidance on governance, compliance, and emerging risks, while maintaining transparent and collaborative relationships with the Audit Committee, Board, regulators, and senior management.
- Serve as Secretary to the Audit Committees of JazzCash FINTECH Pvt. Ltd. and JazzCash Pvt. Limited, managing committee meetings, documentation, and governance compliance.
- Prepare and present clear, concise audit reports with meaningful analysis of systemic issues and risk trends to support informed, data-driven decision-making and effective communication among audit teams, management, and regulators.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 10–12 years of progressive experience in internal audit or risk management within financial services or Fintech sectors, with a strong track record of managing complex audits and leading teams.
- Proven leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and promote accountability throughout the organization.
- Extensive experience working with Boards, Audit Committees, and senior executives, demonstrating the ability to influence decision-making and cultivate a robust control environment.
- In-depth knowledge of banking regulations, especially those mandated by the State Bank of Pakistan; experience in Fintech or digital payments is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in digital platforms, cybersecurity, and technology-driven audit tools such as data analytics and automation.
- Mandatory professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIA; additional IT audit certifications like CISA are preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong integrity, professional independence, business acumen, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges.
