Head of Internal Audit JazzCash

The Head of Internal Audit at JazzCash plays a critical leadership role within Pakistan’s leading Fintech ecosystem. This position is responsible for shaping and implementing the internal audit strategy for JazzCash FINTECH Pvt. Ltd. and JazzCash Pvt. Limited. The role ensures that governance, risk management, and control frameworks remain strong, adaptable, and compliant with Group Internal Audit standards as well as regulations set by the State Bank of Pakistan. Beyond traditional assurance functions, the Head of Internal Audit acts as a strategic partner, influencing key decisions, promoting accountability, and supporting sustainable growth in the digital financial sector. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader who uses data-driven insights to strengthen organizational resilience across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and execution of an internal audit strategy aligned with Group Internal Audit’s vision and JazzCash’s business objectives, incorporating innovation through data analytics, automation, and continuous auditing.
- Design and implement a comprehensive, risk-based audit plan covering all areas including digital products, technology platforms, operations, finance, compliance, and cybersecurity.
- Conduct independent assessments to enhance internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks, providing proactive assurance on new digital initiatives and third-party integrations.
- Ensure adherence to the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), Internal Audit Charter, and Group policies, upholding high standards of ethics and professionalism.
- Act as a trusted advisor to JazzCash leadership, maintaining transparent communication with the Audit Committee, Board, Regulators, and Senior Management.
- Serve as Secretary to the JazzCash FINTECH Pvt. Ltd. and JazzCash Pvt. Limited Audit Committees, managing meetings, documentation, and governance compliance.
- Deliver clear, insightful audit reports to the Board and executive leadership, facilitating data-driven decision-making and effective dialogue between audit, management, and regulators.

Required Qualifications

- 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in internal audit or risk management within financial services or Fintech, with a proven track record of managing complex audits and leading teams.
- Strong leadership capabilities to inspire collaboration, drive accountability, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Extensive experience engaging with Boards, Audit Committees, and senior executives, with a demonstrated ability to influence decision-making and foster a strong control culture.
- Deep knowledge of banking regulations, particularly those of the State Bank of Pakistan; experience in Fintech or digital payments is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with digital platforms, cybersecurity, and technology-enabled audit tools such as data analytics and automation.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIA are required; additional IT audit certifications like CISA are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information.
