Head of NBD

The Head of New Business Development (NBD) at Jazz is a senior leadership position based in Islamabad, reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer. This role is responsible for leading a specialized team within the Strategy Division to identify, evaluate, and incubate strategic new business opportunities across the telecommunications and digital sectors. The focus is on driving sustainable growth by expanding existing areas and exploring new market possibilities, all while ensuring alignment with Jazz’s overall strategic goals and value creation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a comprehensive, multi-sectoral understanding of the digital landscape, including emerging market opportunities, trends, and industry dynamics. Establish and implement a structured prioritization framework to identify, assess, and incubate new business ventures, including evaluating optimal financing strategies. Lead the team through the entire lifecycle of new business initiatives, from ideation and strategic planning to execution and delivery. Identify and evaluate potential target companies, managing the end-to-end process of new business development projects. Collaborate closely with senior leadership, the Board of Directors, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful execution of high-impact initiatives. Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging creative thinking, experimentation, and the pursuit of disruptive ideas within the organization. Build and nurture strong relationships with external partners, investors, and industry experts to support venture growth and long-term success.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 15 years of experience in strategy, digital transformation, or consulting roles, ideally within the digital, telecommunications, fintech, or technology sectors. Strong expertise in financial modeling techniques essential for evaluating and prioritizing business opportunities. A proven entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation and a readiness to take calculated risks. Demonstrated track record of successfully driving strategic growth initiatives, preferably within the technology space.
