The Head of New Business Development (NBD) at Jazz is a senior leadership position based in Islamabad, reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer. This role is responsible for leading a specialized team dedicated to identifying, evaluating, and incubating strategic new business opportunities within the telecommunications and digital ecosystem. The position focuses on expanding existing areas while exploring new growth sectors, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with Jazz’s overall strategic goals. The Head of NBD plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future by fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a strategic, multi-sectoral understanding of the digital landscape, market trends, opportunities, and dynamics. Establish and implement a structured prioritization framework to identify, assess, and incubate new business ventures, including determining the best financing options. Lead the strategic planning and execution of new business initiatives, managing projects from ideation through to successful implementation. Identify potential target companies and ensure all initiatives align with Jazz’s objectives and value creation goals. Collaborate closely with senior leadership, the Board of Directors, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution and delivery of impactful initiatives. Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging creative thinking, experimentation, and the pursuit of disruptive ideas within the organization. Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, investors, and industry experts to support venture growth and success.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 15 years of experience in strategy, digital, and/or consulting roles, preferably within the digital, telecom, fintech, or technology sectors. Strong expertise in financial modeling to evaluate and prioritize business opportunities effectively. Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a readiness to take calculated risks. Proven track record of successfully driving strategic growth initiatives, ideally within the technology space.
