The Head of New Business Development (NBD) at Jazz is a senior leadership role within the Strategy Division, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and nurturing strategic business opportunities in the telecommunications and digital sectors. This position leads a dedicated team and reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer. The role focuses on driving initiatives that enhance existing business areas or explore new avenues for growth. Based in Islamabad, this opportunity allows the incumbent to significantly influence Jazz’s direction in a fast-changing digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a broad, strategic understanding of the digital ecosystem, market trends, and emerging opportunities across multiple sectors.
- Design and implement a structured framework to prioritize, assess, and incubate new business ventures, including determining the most effective financing strategies.
- Lead the team in strategic planning and execution of new business projects, managing the entire process from ideation to implementation while ensuring alignment with corporate goals and value creation.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and project teams to ensure timely execution and delivery of high-impact initiatives.
- Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging creative thinking, experimentation, and the pursuit of disruptive ideas within the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, investors, and industry experts to support the growth and success of new ventures.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in strategy, digital, or consulting roles, preferably within digital, telecom, fintech, or technology sectors.
- Strong financial modeling skills to support the evaluation and prioritization of business opportunities.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a willingness to take calculated risks.
- Proven track record of successfully leading strategic growth initiatives, ideally in technology-driven environments.
