Head of Strategy & Investment JazzCash

The Head of Strategy & Investment at JazzCash is a senior leadership position based in Islamabad, responsible for steering the company’s strategic planning and investment efforts. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Growth, this role manages a core team of two direct reports and an extended team of six members. The position requires close collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of JazzCash’s overall strategy, supporting its growth and maintaining its leadership in the digital financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate the annual strategy cycle, including organizing strategy workshops, aligning stakeholders, drafting strategy papers, and preparing presentations. Ensure all group-assigned strategy-related tasks are completed on time. Define and communicate business strategy through clear goals and KPIs, while overseeing the KPI infrastructure to support performance analysis and reporting against strategic objectives. Conduct regular strategy reviews and recommend enhancements to improve existing business strategies. Develop and present strategy and investment proposals to senior management as needed. Communicate the strategy and provide periodic updates across the organization to maintain alignment and engagement. Assess current markets, financial and ancillary sectors, and analyze macroeconomic trends to identify opportunities and risks. Provide informed recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion possibilities, competitive threats, and the viability of potential business partners. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to respond to group queries after thorough alignment. Collaborate with industry experts and research organizations to support strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have 8 to 10 years of professional experience in strategy, commercial, or finance roles, preferably within the fintech sector. An MBA or a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university is required. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and intellectually curious, capable of engaging in meaningful discussions with senior stakeholders to influence strategic priorities. Strong analytical thinking and reasoning skills are essential, along with excellent report writing abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills are required, as well as the ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
