Hendrix Media (based in the UK) is looking for a self-motivated and dedicated Senior developer to join our dynamic team as a contractor (with the possibility of a contract extension and full- time employment).You will be highly experienced as a developer at a senior level and an expert in all aspects of core PHP, WordPress theme programming, custom WordPress plugins, Laravel, Object Oriented Programming and high-speed Web based application development.
You will be willing to work remotely and take direction from UK based project managers, designers and technical team members and also work to tight deadlines. You will be monitored using Hubstaff and communicated with through the companies preferred methods.You will have a sharp mind that can grasp concepts quickly and be skilled at translating business needs into technical requirements.
Requirements:
- Access to own high spec Laptop/PC
- Own high-speed internet connection (already active)
- Framework experience: Core PHP, WordPress, Laravel, Ajax, JQuery, Bootstrap, others desirable
- Database Concepts: MySQL, SQL
- Expert with Large Scale Platforms, Security, Programming and Server optimization / Database design
- Ability to create advanced plugins from the ground up with Cron automation
- Able to adapt PSD files to core HTML, WordPress, Laravel and PHP Design Patterns
- Able to create clean, logical, well-documented and re-usable code
- Must have the ability to build applications from scratch and be able to adapt existing software solutions to meet business requirements
- Excellent Front-End development skills
- Strong knowledge of Core PHP, WordPress and Laravel customisation and development
- Creation of custom solutions using frameworks
- Debugging Expert
- Desirable: Server setup and security LAMP stack
- Ability to regression test and perform front line QA/UAT
- Test platforms and identifying any technical issues
- English written and verbal communication skills
- An extreme attention to detail (sloppy developers this will not be a role for you)
