Hi Tech Plastics Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Executive to join our team in Lahore. Our organization specializes in industrial machinery and is dedicated to innovation and exceptional industry success. The Procurement Executive plays a vital role in managing purchasing activities and supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement of materials and services. The ideal candidate has 2 to 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sectors, and demonstrates strong negotiation skills and knowledge of procurement best practices.
This position involves sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and equipment from local and international suppliers. The Procurement Executive will conduct vendor research, maintain supplier databases, evaluate quotations, coordinate with internal departments to forecast needs, issue purchase orders, and ensure compliance with company policies. Strong communication, analytical skills, and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP are essential. This is an individual contributor role without team management responsibilities but requires managing multiple priorities effectively under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and services from local and international suppliers to meet company needs.
- Conduct in-depth market research using specialized vendor platforms like Alibaba and Made in China to identify new supplier opportunities.
- Maintain and regularly update the supplier database, purchase records, and related procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Evaluate vendor quotations by comparing value, quality, and delivery terms to select the most beneficial offers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand and forecast procurement requirements and specifications accurately.
- Issue purchase orders and monitor the delivery process to guarantee on-time receipt of goods and services.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and regulatory compliance throughout all purchasing activities.
- Assist in vendor development initiatives and performance evaluation to cultivate strong supplier relationships and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Address and resolve supply-related challenges including delays, quality issues, or pricing discrepancies to maintain operational continuity.
- Prepare and present detailed procurement reports for management review, highlighting insights and areas for improvement.
