Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II, Tier III Technical Support for the Operation & Maintenance of Packet Transport Networks onsite, remotely and on call.
- Responsible for handling PTN network Critical problems having service interruption/degradation in quick manner to make sure timely services recovery.
- Responsible for strong communication and coordination with customer against customer’s service request, handling network problems in E2E manner and resolve the network problems within agreed SLA.
- Implementation of the different solution including configuration changes, Hardware replacements, software version upgrades against network problems and bulletins published by Huawei headquarters. Prepare Network topologies, contingency plans, DR switchover plans as part of preventive maintenance.
- Perform Quarterly health checks and Annual Network Insights of Packet transport networks and Optical Transport networks as part of preventive maintenance.
- Arrange Technical trainings/workshops for customer’s skills enhancement. Responsible for escalation of complex service requests to Tier-III and R&D for the problem resolution and permanent fix.
- Provide on call support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Provided technical support to Project delivery, Sales and Pre-Sales Departments.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor/ Master in Telecommunication/Electrical Engineering
- 4-6 years of Packet Transport Network (PTN) & Optical Transport Network (OTN)
Requirements
- Must have a strong understanding of Transport Network architecture, infrastructure components, Ethernet, Packet and fiber optical transport networks.
- Detailed understanding of Packet Transport Networks including Huawei PTN-3900,PTN-7900, PTN-970.PTN-980 products.
- Must have hands on experience of Troubleshooting complex issues related to PTN network services & Protection schemes (MPLS Ring Protection, Tunnel APS, MC PW APS).
- Must have hands on experience of disaster recovery including Node level and network level services recovery.
- Detailed understanding of Optical Networks, OTN products including Huawei OSN9800, OSN1800.
- Must have hands on experience of Troubleshooting complex issues related to OTN network services & Protection schemes (WSON, SNCP, Optical Line Path protection).
- Working knowledge and experience of Huawei Network Management systems (U2000, NCE-T).
