- Build and lead a team of experienced data engineers, high-quality BI and Data Warehousing. Mentor and guide the professional and technical development team members.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of the various facets of a Data Warehouse – the underlying data model, the specialized business data sets and the platform tooling.
- Lead a team to design and implement new data processing architectures, systems, workflows and solutions to drive and influence key decisions and actions regarding IT data applications and infrastructure.
- Develop cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers and Software Engineers to understand data needs and deliver on those needs.
- Contribute to the logical/physical design and development of new/existing data marts/models
- Manage task list and communicate updates to stakeholders and team members following an Agile Scrum methodology.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain BI interfaces including query tools, data visualization and interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, and data modeling tools.
- Standardizing data into coherent formats so that it can be queried by users.
- Document contents in a data warehouse and meta-data storage Implementing BI reports based on the requirements.
- Prepare data models, monitor reliability and availability of all data and supervise all associated activities by ensuring work according to benchmark standards.
- Analyze existing reports and optimize them for standardization across the company.
- Propose data schema and data flow optimization for reporting performance and enhancement as needed.
Job Specifications:
- Prior experience of minimum 5 years in the same capacity.
- BS/MS in computer science degree or relevant.
- Strong communication, people development and software project management skills.
- Familiarity with Data Warehouse concepts – schema management, data modeling and visualization.
- Ability to deliver on immediate goals and form long-term strategies around technology, processes, and people.
- Knowledge or familiarity of modern analytics, AI/ML and visualisation techniques.
- Strong working knowledge building large Data lakes and data roadmaps.
- Experience as an ETL/DWH developer with strong knowledge in designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end data integration processes for large scale data warehouses.
- Expert in database operations and optimization for such as Microsoft SQL Server, OracleDB, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, flat-file storage, etc.
- Proficient in data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques.
- Experience with BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Qlik etc.
- Ability to work under pressure and stressful situations.
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising the quality.
