About the Role
An expatriate family is looking for a full-time teacher to coach their two children at home in Karachi. The children are 10 and 12 years old. Both children are tech-savvy and high academic achievers. A dedicated classroom has been set up in the house. The master-based education system, which includes tools, goals, objectives, and routines, is already established and actively practiced by the children. The coach is needed to assist and encourage the children to make the best of the system developed by their parents.
Responsibilities
- Work with the children and parents to define weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.
- Help the children start every morning at 10am with daily goals.
- Help the children develop and deliver weekly presentations.
- Help the children develop advanced skills using technology and outside classes.
- Develop challenges and interesting projects for the children based on their interests.
- Coach children to complete personal projects such as writing a book, developing a computer game, playing a song, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in English
- Experience with computer software and online tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering or Computer Science
- Passion for learning and teaching
- Patience, friendliness and dedication
- History of strong academic performance
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Experience with software development and web technologies
- Experience with online learning tools such as Khan Academy, edX and Coursera.
- Experience with teaching at any grade level
Location and Schedule
DHA Phase 6
Monday to Thursday: 10am to 4pm
Friday: 10am to 2pm
Compensation
Rs. 25,000 per month
