Horizon Technologies is looking for a CAD Manager for one of its partners in the US. The incumbent must be able to establish departmental standards for software, techniques, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Being a CAD manager, you will be required to coordinate with the CAD engineers to ensure stakeholder satisfaction with projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan, organize and manage work plans of the CAD project team.
- Manage project budget, resource identification, and schedule for the CAD team.
- Provide guidance and direction to the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence.
- Develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures to meet customer needs.
- Manage CAD hardware and software systems for the design team.
- Work with Engineering Lead regarding technical issues, training, and other CAD system issues.
- Initiate and maintain contact with clients for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues.
- Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies.
- Recommend best practices for solutions to meet customer business needs.
- Hire, train and supervise CAD users in core application skills and standards.
- Evaluate team members for their technical skills, performance, and productivity.
- Maintain documentation records of generated design deliverables.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
- Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with the standards set forth by the Project Delivery Board.
Job Requirements
- 3 years plus experience in the relevant field
- Bachelors or equivalent degree in the desired field
- Experience in building architectures
- Fluency in spoken & verbal English is a must
- Preference will be given to the candidate who has San Francisco based experience
- Knowledge and working experience of Matterport are a huge plus.
Note:
This is a third shift night job and the timing of this job is from 10:00 PM to 7:00 PM
