- Horizon Technologies are looking for an SAP Basis Administrator who will be responsible for the following responsibilities such as:
- Maintain different clients of SAP servers’ landscape (DEV, QAS, PRD, IDES, SOLMAN)
- Use the Transport Management System to ensure all configuration and development objects are managed properly.
- Implement patches and update into the environment using a structured approach
- Minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability, and performance of each SAP instance.
- Install and configure SAP database servers and application servers and administer the system using Linux and VMWare.
- Manage SAP users, authorizations, and profiles.
- Distribute the online SAP user workload and monitor and manage the SAP background job workload.
- Configure and manage the SAP printing subsystem for all SAP instances.
- Monitor SAP performance by doing performance checks daily, weekly, and monthly logs and act upon early watches
- Monitor all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.).
- Administer the SAP database and perform daily/ weekly/ monthly backups & restores.
- Perform SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of SAP system upgrades.
- Develop SOP and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
- Study and analyze logs in Microsoft Excel and send reports to higher management.
- Provide status management reports.
- Training staff on new systems as and when required

- Analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develops and implements strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Supports preparations and user acceptance testing required for infrastructure projects and enhancements.
- Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and they're associated software into enterprise systems.
- Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
- Provides guidance and solves escalated issues for IT Specialists on the team
- Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
- Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
- Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
- Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
- Design and deploy networks.
- Perform network address assignment.
- Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
- Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
- Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN, gateways, intrusion detection systems.
- Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
Job Skills Requirements
- The candidate must be an expert in the integration, deployment & user training of ERP, CRM & other major business applications.
- Monitoring and handling and managing remote offices.
- Solid knowledge and experience with servers, networks, PC/printer maintenance, antivirus software, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to recognize and analyze technical problems
- Well-developed project management skills
- Advanced understanding of IT policies, standards, and procedures
- Strong ability to communicate and explain technical needs and problems to provide the solution
- Demonstrated ability to handle escalations with professionalism and speed
- Degree in Information Technology & Computer science.
- Certification of SAP and other ERP related training
