Horizon Technologies is looking for a junior data engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems and strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals. To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from various sources. Data engineer skills also include familiarity with several programming languages (preferably Python or R) and knowledge of learning machine methods. If you are detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and experience in this field or have an interest in pursuing it, we would like to hear from you
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and organize raw data.
- Build data systems and pipelines.
- Combine raw information from various sources.
- Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling.
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.
- Evaluate business needs and objectives.
- Interpret trends and patterns.
- Conduct complex data analysis and report on results.
- Work with software engineers to build SaaS products.
Requirements and skills:
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- Technical expertise with data models, data scrapping, data cleansing and segmentation techniques.
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services.
- Knowledge of Python programming language.
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design.
- Great numerical and analytical skills.
- Data engineering certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of MS excel and ability to build various views using pivot tables
Note:
The canaidate should be fluent in spoken English
This is an onsite job and the timing of this job will be from 6:00 PM till 3:00 Am (Monday to Friday).
