Candidate must have strong Web/software industry background, excellent client and project management skills, proven ability to do hands-on technical work when needed, and ability to lead technical projects and teams. Successful candidates must be action oriented, capable of independently solving complex problems and able to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise defining project goals, scope, approach, and overall task plan including providing clarity on critical path tasks.
- Communicate with clients in a thoughtful and impactful manner that helps foster strong relationships.
- Serve as the internal central point of communication around project status, timelines, and risks.
- Use Agile/SCRUM or standard software development processes. Must be able to switch between these methodologies and should have the ability to tailor them according to the project needs.
- Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within scope.
- Define, document, and implement project management and engineering best practices and process improvements.
- Motivate project team members to action; identify common themes, make inferences and draw conclusions
- Create a sense of belonging and ownership among team members; assemble a team with the right mix of skills; coach and motivate team members; delegate responsibility; promote mutual support and interaction
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to interact with senior management.
- Estimation and Risk Assessment on merit.
Skills Required:
1. Strong project management experience in Web, Mobile, and Application development environment to oversee multiple projects.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate across third parties and technical and business product managers
3. Solid documentation skills for creating, reviewing, and providing feedback
4. Overall 2+ years’ experience in the software industry
5. Minimum of 1-year direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
6. Strong Leadership and Team Driving Skills.
7. Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
8. Experience with Jira or similar bug tracking tools
9. Experience with Github is a plus
10. Experience with time tracking and management tools.
