We run a network of IaaS Cloud Compute services with thousands of customers around the globe.
From time to time, we receive complaints such as DMCA, spam, network abuse and so on.
Your job will be to view incoming abuse reports, identify the responsible customer, and forward the report to them.
Then follow up with them and make sure that the report has been handled by them.
Most of the work is quite straightforward - you review the incoming report, match it to the client responsible, forward it to them - and make sure it is handled.
Then update the original abuse reporter via email to let them know that it has been taken care of.
You will require basic know-how of technical terms, and very (extremely!) good written English communication skills, since you will be dealing with paying customers from around the world - and bad communication is unacceptable.
Preferably, you have customer English support experience in the past - but this is not required. You will likely simply qualify for the job based on your English grammar, communication skills (especially written), and ability to understand and learn basic technical terms by researching them on the internet.
You will be working remotely and you must have a laptop and a solid internet connection that you can use.
So - for example - if you are an English teacher, or anyone who has the ability to learn and execute these duties with self-discipline - and and are looking for a remote position which is fairly laid back but also challenging with not a lot of stress every day, this might be for you. And you get to decide your own working hours - as long as you can self-discipline yourself to complete the work on time.
If you have completed IELTS or any other similar tests - it will be great if you can share those. Otherwise, we will likely have you go through an English test as well. PS - I review a bunch of resumes from time to time - and what annoys me the most is when someone writes that they are fluent in the language, and then go on to make a number of mistakes in their "professional" resume.
