Hotel IT Solution is embarking on a strategic digital agenda aimed at transforming the way we engage with guests throughout their travel experience. We see digital technologies as powerful tools to help millions of guests plan their travel, enjoy their stay, and keep connected post stay. The Specialist, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will work closely with the team to help develop, implement and manage SEO strategies on behalf of Hotel IT’s customer brands. This role requires experience implementing successful SEO tactics and reporting results in addition to familiarity with organic search engine ranking and results pages for major search engines. A strong knowledge of localization (Local SEO) tactics is required to be successful within the role. The SEO specialist will work with vendors and internal partners to achieve the organization’s SEO goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical evaluations and develop SEO recommendations and action plans
- Develop the plan to drive Local SEO
Manage the local listings for our portfolio of hotels and help the operations team and hotels with various Google, Bing Maps and citation issues
- Project manage SEO action plans and ensure that deadlines and quality control standards are met by both internal teams and external vendors
- Work closely with the content team to identify content gaps and opportunities and assist with executing content initiatives that will drive organic growth
- Analyze and measure organic performance and adjust strategy accordingly
- Be an integral part in standardizing SEO reporting and making it available to all levels of the organization
- Serve as an internal SEO subject matter expert by educating colleagues on organic search and its importance and promoting ways to keep SEO visible across the organization
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes with SEO, the SERPs and digital marketing as a whole
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with SEO and a record of driving results
- In-house, enterprise and hospitality industry experience, preferred
- Thorough knowledge of how SEO and Search Engines work
- Local SEO experience managing listings on Google My Business, Bing Places for Business as well as knowledge and understanding of various local SEO tools in the market
- Technical SEO experience, including the ability to identify and recommend solutions to technical hurdles including on-page elements, CMS and server related issues
- Mobile SEO experience and understanding of how to build and implement an effective mobile strategy that benefits search
- Experience with SEO in multiple languages, preferred
- A solid grasp of the various digital marketing disciplines (e.g., PPC, social media, content) and how they affect and complement SEO
- Strong experience with a variety of industry standard tools including Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools,
- Strong analytical skills and experience with analytics and tag management platforms such as Omniture SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Intermediate-level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to adapt graciously to changing business conditions and priorities
