Job Description

Production:

  • Achieve Production targets as per PPMC Plan and customer requirements and optimal utilization of all resources.
  • Take corrective actions emanating from customer complaints and in-house production issues through the Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis process.
  • Take necessary initiatives to enhance production capacity through Time & Motion study and overall Process Improvement in order to achieve cost savings, overtime reduction and minimal material wastage.
  • Maintain the stock of necessary spares of critical machines and ordering from import for low inventory.
  • Maintain RFD stocks of all parts up to 7 days minimum.
  • Control and reduce rejections upto the target in all Assembly departments of Plant.
  • Maintain and update all documents, systems and standards/SOPs, interactive process flow charts.
  • Provide training to team members/operators and develop few multi skills work force.

HSE & Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility
  •  Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring rejection rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.

General:

  • Analyze work flows/layouts for improvements and motivate team to raise Kaizens.
  • Liaison among different departments e.g. Inter-department, Support departments (electrical and utilities), PPMC, Store.
  • Control over times in the department.
  • Ensure all training needs of Production staff are evaluated, completed, and renewed as needed.
  • Lead daily quality circle meeting with all team members of departments to discuss and resolve daily issues.
  • Verify and update bom on regular basis
  • Reduce and control rejection of V-Vs.
  • Provide feedback to qa for smqr.
