Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities: 


Work under the supervision of Senior Non-Key Expert contracted for execution of training, to support on the following activities:

  • Develop a Training Timetable and secure approvals from Balochistan Judicial Academy, Balochistan High Court, and Balochistan Prosecution Department. Ensure that all necessary administrative procedures are complied with.
  • Coordinate with the Balochistan Judicial Academy and Prosecution Department to identify and nominate judges and prosecutors to attend the training. 
  • Arrange all necessary logistic arrangements for training including coordination with nominated participants, the printing of training material, arranging training venue, food, and refreshments, boarding, and lodging of the participants, etc. (expectations for logistics to be prior agreed with the project team).
  • Deliver 7 three-day training to Balochistan Judiciary and 6 three-day training to Balochistan Prosecution as per the pre-approved schedule (39 training days).
  • Conduct pre-and post-training assessments, collate data and assess the effectiveness of training. 
  • Draft training reports for all training conducted for judges and public prosecutors. 
  • Ensure incorporation of Training Programme within the curriculum of the judiciary and public prosecutors. 
  • Draft and submit a training program completion report.
  • Conduct a closing meeting with key stakeholders.
  • Any other related task as deemed necessary.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law/International Human Rights Law/Political Science/ Public Administration/Social Sciences or other relevant fields. 
  • At least 02year of relevant professional experience. 
  • Proven knowledge of the international human rights standards in the administration of justice as well as human rights protections in Pakistani law.
  • Demonstrable legal/trial experience in the courts of Balochistan.
  • Appreciation of diplomatic and political sensitivities.
  • Proven report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in written and oral English language.
  • Excellent social and networking skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Urdu is required. 
  • Balochistan-based/Balochistan experience will be given preference.
