Humayun Wellchem Trading Concern is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Executive to oversee the entire import process, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of goods. The successful candidate will manage all import documentation, coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders, and handle customs clearance procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills and an understanding of import regulations to ensure full compliance. The Import Executive will play a crucial part in maintaining effective communication with vendors and logistics partners to optimize shipment processes and minimize delays. This position requires at least two years of experience in import operations and does not involve managing a team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare accurate import documentation ensuring compliance with company policies and import regulations.
- Coordinate procurement and shipment schedules with suppliers and freight forwarders to guarantee timely delivery.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, proactively addressing any delays or issues that arise during transit.
- Ensure proper customs clearance by liaising with customs authorities and preparing required documents for import duties and regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, documentation, and communications to support auditing and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve shipment discrepancies and improve import processes.
- Stay updated on local and international import laws, tariffs, and procedures to ensure compliance and advise management on regulatory changes.
- Assist in negotiating freight costs and service agreements with logistics providers to optimize cost efficiency.
- Support vendor relations by maintaining clear and consistent communication regarding shipment status and import requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline import operations, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
