The Estimation & Quantity Surveyor plays a vital role in ensuring projects stay within budget by maintaining precise estimation records and supporting value engineering initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotations, preparing variation order pricing, and coordinating with project teams to meet deadlines. A detail-oriented and commercially aware mindset, combined with strong analytical and time management skills, is essential for success. Candidates with 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and estimation, particularly within villa modification, fit-out, residential, and commercial construction projects in the UAE, will find this position well suited to applying their expertise in cost control and tender processes.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare precise quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to support tender submissions and project budgeting.
  • Assist with tender pricing by compiling cost data and preparing comprehensive bid documents.
  • Review construction drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate estimation.
  • Prepare cost comparison sheets and variation order pricing to manage project cost changes effectively.
  • Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to align estimation with project delivery requirements.
  • Support procurement and commercial activities by providing timely cost data and recommendations.
  • Maintain estimation databases and records to facilitate consistent cost tracking and reporting.
  • Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards, market rates, and contractual requirements.
  • Utilize quantity takeoff and construction estimating software such as Bluebeam Revu and AutoCAD to enhance accuracy.
  • Prepare accurate reports and documentation to communicate estimation findings to stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple project estimations simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Continuously update knowledge of construction market trends and new estimation technologies.
