Hypec is seeking a skilled I&C Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for instrumentation and control engineering. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in the field and will lead a team of six professionals. This role focuses on the design, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability in our operations. The I&C Engineer collaborates closely with other engineering disciplines to support ongoing projects and enhance system efficiency through predictive maintenance and advanced calibration techniques.
The role requires hands-on expertise in PLC programming and the use of industry-standard calibration software such as Fluke Calibrator and HART Communicator. The candidate actively manages instrument calibration procedures and maintenance schedules while promoting best practices across their team. Analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions, ensuring the seamless operation of critical control systems within the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of six instrumentation and control engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support.
- Develop, implement, and maintain instrument calibration procedures to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Perform PLC programming for control systems to meet project specifications and operational requirements.
- Conduct regular troubleshooting and maintenance of control and instrumentation systems to minimize downtime.
- Utilize calibration software tools such as Fluke Calibrator and HART Communicator to perform precise instrument calibration tasks.
- Implement predictive maintenance techniques to foresee potential failures and improve system reliability.
- Coordinate with project teams and management to schedule calibration and maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on instrumentation performance, calibration results, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all instrumentation and control activities comply with company standards and industry regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest advances in instrumentation, control technologies, and best practices to continually enhance the teams capabilities.
- Manage the GE Mark VIu control system, overseeing configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Train and develop the team members enhancing their skills in instrumentation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
