Hypec is seeking an experienced I&C Technician with eight years of hands-on expertise in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial instrumentation and control systems. The ideal candidate is proficient in working with process control instrumentation, PLC systems, and distributed control systems (DCS) to ensure reliable and efficient operation of automation equipment. This role demands strong technical capabilities in signal testing, analysis, and calibration of field instrumentation, alongside practical knowledge of communication protocols such as HART.
As an I&C Technician at Hypec, you will lead a small team of one technician, guiding and supporting daily operations related to control systems maintenance and optimization. You will play a key role in diagnosing and resolving system issues to minimize downtime while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to managing automation equipment and collaborating closely with engineering teams to enhance system performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and industrial automation equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct signal testing and analysis to identify faults and optimize system performance using advanced instrumentation methods.
- Calibrate and maintain field instrumentation to ensure precise measurements and reliable process control.
- Utilize HART communication protocol for device configuration and diagnostics to enhance system integration and monitoring.
- Lead and manage a team of one technician, ensuring effective task allocation, mentoring, and adherence to safety and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement process improvements and resolve issues impacting instrument and control system reliability.
- Conduct regular system inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Document all maintenance activities, test results, and system modifications accurately to support compliance and continuous improvement efforts.
- Stay current with industry developments and emerging technologies in instrumentation and control systems to recommend upgrades and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot complex control system failures promptly to minimize production interruptions and maintain process stability.
