We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from bookkeeping to HMRC Submissions.
Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating Vat payments and returns. To be successful in this role, applicant shall have experience of at least 5 Years with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all including but not limited to HMRC regulations.
Job Duties
- Invoice Management - Sequential Numbering of all Purchase and Sales Invoices Separately after making sure that all but specially VAT Invoices are upto HMRC Standard
- Book keeping - Posting all Data on Accounting Software Preferably Sage or any other official software which can be integrated with HMRC for Vat submissions.
- Bank Reconciliation – Reconciliation of all Banks
- Preparation and submission of EC Sales and Intrastate to HMRC on Monthly Basis
- Preparation and Submission of Vat to HMRC through Accounting Software, Quarterly Variance Analysis of Accounts with Prior Period
- Preparation of Financial Statements at Year End.
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries and Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Requirements
- Work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the IAS and IFRS
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Sage
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- ACCA or BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
