Earthfactor Pvt Ltd, located in Islamabad, is looking for a Jr. Administrator. The primary responsibility of this position will be to assist in implementation, operation and administration of the servers and systems. The individual will be part of the IT operations team responsible for the maintenance and operation of systems, and reports directly to the IT Operations Manager.
Job Description for Network Administrator
- Google & AWS Cloud Management (Firewall Rules, VPN & Load Balancer)
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Apply security updates/patches regularly to all devices in the infrastructure.
- Work with disaster recovery and fail-over systems to ensure continuity of business.
- Install, upgrade, maintain and document Network & Linux Machines.
- Solid proficiency with Debian/Ubuntu shell scripting, Bash.
- Have solid experience in the following areas: Cacti, GroundWork(nagios), OpenNMS, Solarwinds, NetFlow, PFSense, DNS, NTP, SSH, FTP and DHCP.
- Have solid experience of Cisco Devices (Switches, Routers & Firewalls).
- Have solid experience of VLANs, ACLs, Port Forwarding, Ipsec and remote VPNs.
- Provide and plan after-hours or weekend support when necessary.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Qualification
- Degree Required in Computer Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 1 years of proven and verifiable experience in the related field
