Ijaz & Associates is U.S. based accounting and consulting firm providing services to various nonprofit organizations and mid-sized businesses. This positions supports our Finance and Accounting Outsourcing group, serving nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Our Finance and Accounting Outsourcing group services as outsourced CFOs, controllers, accountants and finance offices for our clients.
We work with our clients throughout the year by performing all levels of accounting functions including: month-end transaction processing, monthly financial report preparation, budgeting, cash flow planning/analysis and outside audit facilitation. In addition, we streamline, automate and evaluate accounting systems and processes as well as consult with our clients about accounting and financial "best practices".
Job Duties:
- Review work of associates before submission to U.S. office
- Review salary and expense allocation
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Understand all work requirements of associate:
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Upload bank and credit card transactions into accounting software via use of Excel
- Enter bills into accounts payable software with correct account and department coding
- Prepare invoices (accounts receivable) as required
- Prepare payroll journal entry for entry into accounting software
- Allocate salaries to various departments and cost centers
- Allocate any other expenses as necessary
Required Skills & Experience
- Chartered Accountant certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 6 - 8+ years of progressively responsible experience
- Outstanding accounting skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
- Ability to manage staff
- Excellent analytical and technical experience with IFRS, IAS and Auditing Standards
- Excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast paced environment
