Ijaz & Company is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in excavation work. The ideal candidate is skilled in operating both chain and tyre excavators efficiently and safely to support construction, demolition, and earthmoving projects. This role requires a deep understanding of excavation techniques to ensure precision, safety, and productivity on job sites. The operator will work independently and must follow instructions carefully without managing a team.
The Excavator Operator is responsible for maneuvering heavy machinery to dig, lift, and move earth or other materials according to project specifications. Attention to safety protocols and equipment maintenance is crucial to prevent accidents and downtime. The position demands physical stamina, technical knowledge, and the ability to adapt to changing work environments while maintaining a high level of operational accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate chain and tyre excavators proficiently to perform excavation tasks according to project requirements.
- Execute excavation work by digging trenches, foundations, and other earthworks with precision and safety.
- Inspect excavator equipment before and after operations to ensure proper maintenance and identify any mechanical issues.
- Follow safety guidelines and site regulations to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction personnel to coordinate activities and ensure smooth workflow.
- Adjust excavation paths and techniques based on soil conditions and project specifications.
- Load and unload materials such as soil, rocks, and debris using excavator attachments.
- Maintain daily logs of work performed, equipment usage, and site conditions.
- Respond promptly to any mechanical issues or unexpected site challenges, reporting them to management.
- Comply with all operational standards, environmental laws, and company policies during excavation processes.
