We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Import / Supply Chain Executive with a strong focus on import documentation and liaising with banks / shipping lines/suppliers. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient flow of imported goods through our supply chain and compliance with all banking and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and manage all import-related documentation, including letters of credit, drafts, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions to facilitate smooth transactions related to imports, including letter of credit negotiation and documentation compliance.
- Ensure all banking documentation and transactions align with import regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with international suppliers to coordinate shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to resolve any issues related to documentation or banking.
- Facilitate customs clearance processes and work closely with customs brokers to ensure smooth import operations.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and tariffs that may impact imports.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including scheduling shipments and negotiating with freight forwarders.
- Optimize shipping routes and costs while maintaining delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that imported goods meet quality standards and specifications.
- Track and report on import-related costs, working to optimize expenses while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all banking regulations and reporting requirements.
- Maintain records of all shipments / inventory reports of shipments related to imports and provide accurate reports to management.
- Keep the company Purchase Software module updated with accurate information regarding shipments
- Feed in regular consignment entries and inventory in software.
- Make other inventory and shipments report for better inventory management and shipment planning.
- Work on custom data and make reports for management review.
