Tendering & Proposal Electrical Engineer


Inaam Energy Well-Being is seeking a detailed-oriented and proactive Tendering & Proposal Electrical Engineer with at least two years of relevant experience to join their team. This role supports the preparation and submission of technical and commercial bids for electrical equipment tenders primarily in the power and energy sector. The ideal candidate holds a bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and possesses strong knowledge of Pakistans tendering procedures, including entities like WAPDA, NTDC, and DISCOs. This position demands strong skills in tender preparation, cost estimation, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on ensuring timely and accurate proposal submissions. The engineer works closely with suppliers, OEMs, and internal teams without managing a team, but demonstrates a proactive approach and excellent coordination capabilities. The role involves analyzing tender documents, preparing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, and maintaining a database to track bid status and outcomes. The engineer also participates in pre-bid meetings and site visits, responds to client clarifications, and manages vendor negotiations. Strong communication skills, numerical analysis, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD are essential. Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and international tender processes is a plus. This position is crucial for supporting the companys business development by enabling competitive and compliant bids on national and international projects.
Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents such as RFPs, RFQs, BOQs, and technical specifications issued by regulatory bodies and private entities to identify project requirements and compliance criteria.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, including compliance matrices, solution descriptions, equipment specifications, and project methodologies that meet client and tender requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and original equipment manufacturers to obtain accurate pricing, delivery schedules, and required technical documentation.
• Develop commercial proposals with precise cost estimation, pricing structures, and financial models ensuring alignment with tender conditions and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, and contractual teams to gather necessary inputs and ensure full compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely submission of bids and tender documentation within deadlines to maximize the companys chances of success.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other client interactions to clarify requirements, gather information, and build strong client relationships.
• Monitor bid evaluation status, address queries and clarifications from clients promptly and effectively during the evaluation phase.
• Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database of submitted bids, win/loss records, client feedback, and pricing benchmarks to support reporting and future bidding strategies.
• Provide regular reports and updates to management covering bid progress, market trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement in tender processes.
• Apply strong analytical and negotiation skills to optimize proposal quality, cost-effectiveness, and commercial terms with vendors and stakeholders.
• Utilize expertise in MS Office applications, AutoCAD, and basic hardware troubleshooting to support bid preparation workflows and documentation standards.
• Adhere strictly to company ethics, confidentiality protocols, and high standards of integrity throughout the tendering process.
