SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Role:
The Drupal Developer will lead and develop web based applications as a member of a team and individually. The role will document, track, and provide updates on project status. They will lead code reviews as well as knowledge transfer sessions. This is a lead role, a key senior developer on an emerging team, and will lead the technical team in developing client solutions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with CTO to define Drupal standards and execution plans
- Work collaboratively with internal and external team members as well as independently
- Implement and utilize modern web development workflows and development operations (DevOps) using tools such as Acquia BLT, DrupalVM, Vagrant, or BitBucket preferred
- Provide status updates for the team to project managers on individual projects
- Develop custom modules, components and themes
- Lead design/code reviews for internal technical staff
- Lead day to day development efforts of development team
- Develop new web applications as identified by supervisor and management through packaged and customized applications
- Alert colleagues of changes and new technologies
- Assist in training of new staff
- Provide technical support for clients
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned by management
- Assist in creation of technical documentation
EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent business experience required
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of Drupal or Relevant Development Experience
- Experience and hands-on ability developing web solutions in Drupal 7/8 implementations
- Proven success in architecting enterprise Drupal solutions including site migration from older versions of Drupal or legacy systems to Drupal 8
- Ability to evaluate and select Drupal modules for desired functionality based on release & maintenance status, community dedication & usage, security issues and availability of documentation. Integrate modules after regression testing for incompatibilities and dependencies on other modules already in use
- Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules
- Experience creating custom Drupal modules
- Professional experience building responsive websites using Drupal 7/8 CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery
- Knowledge of template files and theme functions, and the Drupal theme layer
- Install new and maintain existing Drupal websites and web applications
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile SDLCs
