RESPONSIBILITIES
• Program and troubleshoot B&R, Siemens and Omron PLC programs.
• Modify existing programs from customer requirements.
• Select and configure B&R, Siemens, Omron and other automation devices, such as VFDs for automation/control.
• Provide guidance to electrical and electronic technicians in programming, repair, installation and maintenance of PLC systems.
• Work with customers and suppliers to define equipment specifications, resolve fabrication issues, and resolve quality issues.
• Working understanding of design, layout, and use of current networks such as Profibus, Ethernet, etc. • Provide direct assistance to field personnel to resolve electrical program issues.
• Collaborate with in-house Service Department personnel to troubleshoot electrical/programming related issues.
• Prepare robots to customer specifications.
• Provide technical support in developing and improving processes.
• Assist in the integration, startup and debugging of plant floor equipment.
• Ability to perform electrical diagnosis, recommend repair or perform repair as needed.
• Travel will be required (Typically 1-2 weeks at a time for up to three weeks per month).
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.
