This role requires proficiency in producing professional documentation like Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), System Requirement Specifications (SRS), and managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes. The Business Analyst actively utilizes tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Office applications, and embraces AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and accuracy in documentation and analysis. Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning are essential to managing shifting priorities and successfully driving projects forward without direct team management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements and translate them into clear functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current capabilities and business needs, recommending practical solutions to address these gaps.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), System Requirement Specifications (SRS), and process flow diagrams to guide development teams.
- Support the design and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring alignment between business objectives and developed solutions.
- Liaise with project managers, developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of software solutions.
- Utilize project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Office suite to monitor progress and maintain clear communication across teams.
- Apply knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles to support project phases from inception through deployment and maintenance.
- Research and incorporate AI-powered tools to optimize documentation processes, analysis, and overall productivity in alignment with evolving technology trends.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of system integrations and relevant standards including FIX and SWIFT ISO 20022 to facilitate seamless financial data exchange and application interoperability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of capital market or financial applications to provide industry-specific insights and foster informed decision-making throughout project timelines.
- Adapt swiftly to changing priorities, proactively identify risks or issues, and communicate potential impacts and mitigation strategies effectively.
- Participate in continuous learning opportunities to further develop business analysis skills and stay current with technological advancements and best practices.
