To design, develop, test and deploy applications for the Android Platform.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with outside data sources and API’s
  • Able to design and document software applications
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Stay up to date with latest Android libraries, news and OS changes 
  • Convert old application source code to new android libraries and architecture.

Required Skills

 

  • Proficient with Java and Android Studio (Kotlin will be a plus).
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns (Familiarity with Effective Java will be a plus) and code versioning tools such as Git .
  • Experience in publishing successful app to a Google Play Store and building apps compatible with Android OS versions 14(Ice Cream Sandwich) to latest Android OS 26(Oreo).
  • Understanding of core Android concepts, services, process, broadcast receivers, multi-threading and refactoring, and debugging views or layout hierarchies .
  • Understanding of app architecture like MVP (MVVM - Android Architecture Components will be a plus)
