Institute of Regenerative Medicine is seeking a highly capable, skilled and experienced Accident and Emergency (A&E) Physician to join our medical facility’s A&E Department. As the ER Physician, you should be highly trained with proven experience working in an emergency setup including urgent care.

Your chief responsibilities will include treating patients with life-threatening illnesses, establishing effective patient care plans, and referring patients to the appropriate specialty. To excel in this highly-stressful environment, the ideal candidate should have superb communication and interpersonal abilities, with excellent judgment skills.

You will be responsible for providing the best medical care to patients and will be involved in triage, patient flow and implementation of protocols.

Job Description:

•         Assess patients in emergency and their treatment accordingly that enter the emergency setup immediately and oversee emergency patient’s recovery.

•         Make sure that all medical records are properly kept and maintained

•         Carry out immediate evaluation and management of emergency patients that are brought in for treatment

•         Work simultaneously with staff from the emergency department and compliant facility

•         Respond to all forms of medical and surgical emergencies including child and adult

•         Perform interpretation of electrocardiogram and make arrangement for back up from Emergency Medical Service (EMS)

•         Conduct follow-up visits to monitor the patient’s condition.

•         Request the appropriate medical tests and based on them, follow a treatment plan.

•         Develop effective patient care plans

•         Refer patients to the appropriate specialists

•         Ensure that patients are stable before transferring them to the proper department for further management

•         Provide instructions for discharge and complete necessary paper work for patients

•         Appropriately make use of other available personnel whether professional or not so as to be able to immediately stabilize the patient in a situation where there are multiple emergency cases

•         Review all medical (laboratory and x-ray) reports concerning patients

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

•         Available for a minimum of six months

•         Experience of setting up an ER or intensive care unit, and technical inputs for complex cases

•         Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) or advanced trauma life support (ATLS) training

•         He/she must be proactive in nature to handle any given emergency situation

•         Must have good time management abilities for carrying out duties effectively within a limited time frame

•         He/she must possess excellent hand-eye coordination

•         Must have the ability to think and act critically at all times

•         Must show understanding and support to patients in emergency situations

•         Must possess good interpersonal skills

•         The emergency room physician must have excellent communication skills especially active listening skills

•         Possess good decision-making ability even under pressure

•         Must have a keen eye for every important detail

•         He/she should be able to work as part of a team or even lead a team if need be

•         Ability to stay calm even in the most chaotic of scenarios

•         IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

•         Ability to train others

•         Willingness to work in shifts / rotation

•         People management experience

Requirement:

·         M.B.B.S. Degree Recognized by PM&DC / PMC

Experience:

•         Three years’ experience in ER or as a specialist with six months in ER or an ER specialization

•         Recent clinical experience of at least six months within the last 24 months
