Purpose of the post
The Radio Operator operates the ICRC’s telecommunications equipment. He maintains radio contact and telecommunications between sites, vehicles and people; so that the delegation can follow field movements in accordance with its programme and with security rules.
Minimum bachelor’s degree.
Minimum one year work experience in the relevant field.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Good English language skills i.e. speaking and writing.
Good computer skills especially in MS Office tools.
He has a good understanding and knowledge of political and security situation in Pakistan.
Flexible in terms of working hours, able to work under pressure and a good team player.
Responsible to follow on different communication and transmission activities through telecommunication equipment’s.
Responsible to ensure the radio contacts and permanent field follow-up according to the internal guidelines.
Proactively ensuring the information flow on security-related issues.
Responsible to keep a permanent update of all field movements.
Responsible for an environmental scanning/media monitoring through a mass media.
