Primary function/purpose
The Program and Training Advisor will support program design, project assessments and leadership trainings under IFES’ Global Affairs Canada-funded Participation of Women in Election and Registration (POWER) project.
Major duties and responsibilities
- Design, coordinate and facilitate the conduct trainings related to promoting women’s democratic leadership and increasing gender sensitivity among institutional partners and male allies
- Contribute to donor and program reporting, including supporting the development of the periodic operations reports, data collection, and monitoring and evaluation, as needed
- Assist the Country Director in developing and maintaining relationships with local partners and other stakeholders, and work with local partners to strengthen training capacity
- Represent IFES Pakistan at meetings, including with civil society partners, the Election Commission of Pakistan and the donor as needed
- Develop resources and briefs related to the electoral and gender context in Pakistan
Position requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
- Knowledge of electoral context in Pakistan
- At least 8 years of work experience in relevant areas, including demonstrated experience designing and implementing trainings related to gender equality and women’s rights
- Experience working with international NGOs preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel required
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills are required
