Background

Main Responsibilities

The tasks listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Responsibilities:

·         Provide transportation to staff as needed.  This includes trips to the projects, located in different project locations. Night time and days off may also be required.

·         Maintain vehicle in good working condition so it is available during working hours.

·         Keep the vehicle clean and check the vehicle condition along with all necessary equipment’s before starting field trip.

·         To keep the internal/ external decor/ cleanliness of the vehicles as per the organization’s standards.

·         Daily get completed fill out mileage log forms.  Any personal trips are to be mentioned in the mileage logbook.

·         As vehicles are for staff use, relatives, friends and strangers are not allowed without prior authorization. It is the duty of Driver to deny and report for such pick.

·         Actively promote PSEA (prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and among beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

·         Adhere to the Code of Conduct, maintain humanitarian principles and respect international humanitarian law at all times.

·         It is our shared responsibility and obligation to prevent matters involving sexual exploitation and abuse, trafficking in persons, child safeguarding and any suggested violation to our Code of Conduct that may involve conflicts-of-interest, fraud, corruption or harassment. If you see, hear or are made aware of any such activities, you have an obligation to report.

Promote and encourage a culture of compliance and ethics throughout International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conduct work with the highest level of integrity. Communicate these values to staff and to partners and require them to adhere to these values.

Qualifications & ExperienceMust be Literate. Minimum Secondary school certificate (SSC) qualification is a must.

  • A valid driving license is mandatory.  
  • Minimum of 03 years’ experience will be preferred.
  • Previous experience in an NGO will be an edge.
  • Able to work in limited resources and harsh environment.
  • Basic knowledge of English & regional languages of the duty station an asset.
  • Must be aware of Cultural sensitivities.

·         Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations

·         Excellent decision-making skills

·         Fluency in spoken Regional Languages.
