  • In Pakistan, IRC has been offering comprehensive emergency rehabilitation services such as supporting health systems, environmental health, education, child and women services, and livelihoods.
  • Since 1980, IRC Pakistan has effectively responded to all major humanitarian situations emanating from earthquakes, catastrophic floods, and temporary displacements.
  • Currently, IRC has an average annual portfolio of around $40 million implementing projects in all the four provinces of Pakistan.
  • With support of the federal and provincial governments, and generous donors like DFID, ECHO, USAID, and Australian Aid Agencies, IRC has reached 1.8 million people in Pakistan in the year 2018-19.
  • Recently, IRC has launched a 5 years USAID’s  “Women’s Economic  Empowerment (WEE) Project primarily in five selected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the objective to promote women’s social and economic empowerment through safe and dignified access to livelihoods opportunities, information, resources and services.
  • The project will also facilitate NIC (National Identity Card) registration of 1.25 million women across Pakistan in two years starting July 2020 by linking /bringing unregistered women at NADRA Registration Centers (NRCs) and facilitating Mobile Registration Vans (MRVs).
  • This will facilitate women in opening bank accounts, registering as voters, accessing credit, inheriting and owning property and accessing social protection benefits.

Job Overview/Summary:

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual for the position of Admin and Finance Officer for implementation of its CNIC registration component under WEE Project. This position is Islamabad based and responsible to ensure efficient administrative and financial management of this project component. The position will support Senior SC Officer, of the project to develop required formats and process monthly payments, keep record of monthly payments, balances, and variances.

Job Responsibilities:

  • -          Provide the required templates of travel request form to all staff in field for the traveling authorizations.
  • logistic support to organize trainings, review meetings and staff field visits.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of regular vehicles.
  • Responsible for hiring of rental vehicles as per organizational policy.
  • Responsible for preparing fuel reports as per IRC’s SoP on monthly basis.
  • Process all the payments related to fuel, rental vehicles, and lease on time to finance.
  • Arrange Outstation/Field travel for IRC staff
  • Maintain and keep track of inventory and assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Ensure proper and complete record is maintained for audit purpose.

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: Senior SC Officer

Position directly supervises:  Nil

Position coordinates with: Senior SC Manager and Sr. SC Coordinator (indirectly reporting to Sr. Project Managers).

Requirements:

a)      Education Requirements: Bachelor’s in Commerce/Finance and Accounting

b)     Work Experience Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of work experience in administration reporting and general administration

c)      Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in English and Urdu languages
  • Proven experience and track record of timely and high-quality completion of assignments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Command on MS Excel
  • Flexible attitude towards receiving feedback
